Cameron Kinsey

Filmmaker. Director. Editor.

Hi there, welcome to my website. I was born and raised in Dayton, Ohio, the Funk Capital of the world. One evening on a family vacation in Hilton Head, South Carolina, my dad let me play with his new home video camera. I started running around and filming everything around me and at the young age of 7, I knew that film was my passion. Now, here I am at the age of 25 still following down that path. In May 2021, I graduated from Ohio University and moved to Los Angeles a month later.

During my time in college, I’ve had the opportunity to work on some great projects, documentaries, shorts, and more. In addition to video and film, I have experience in social media and marketing, graphic design, and motion graphics. I was also fortunate enough to be able to continue my athletic career throughout college, I was on the varsity cross country team for four years. My time on the team helped me retain a hardworking mindset and taught me the importance of time management. I met my best friends on the team and would not have wanted my college experience to have been any different. I now live with 3 of my best friends, and teammates, from college here in LA. I was fortunate enough to get a full time job offer from Hurwitz Creative, shortly after I arrived in LA. Hurwitz is an award-winning film marketing company. Here I have been a part of some amazing work. We put together press kits and marketing pieces for feature films. Our clients include Netflix, Disney, Amazon, and more. My friends and I also started our own company, Vic Productions LLC, named after the house we all lived in, in college, "The Vic." Through Vic Productions we produce our own shorts, sketches, and passion projects. We have also been building an inventory of film equipment that we rent out to other filmmakers and creatives.

This is my all time favorite quote,

“To see the world, things dangerous to come to, to see behind walls, to draw closer, to find each other, and to feel. That is the purpose of life.” -James Thurber
